Reconnecting with nature for better mental wellbeing

People of all ages and backgrounds benefit from getting close to nature.

RSPB are the UK's largest conservation charity, with the aim of giving nature the home it deserves.

RSPB Scotland look after 77 nature reserves, which are fantastic places to explore and reconnect with nature. As lockdown restrictions ease many of us will be going further afield to spend time outdoors. If you are planning a visit to a reserve please check before you go to see which facilities are open.

The #MyWorldNow hashtag was used to learn what people have been noticing and valuing over the past few months and found that many more people were spending more time in nature and noticing birdsong often.

RSPB Scotland have developed Wellbeing Activities for a Working Week (below) to highlight the final few days of our summer swifts being with us. You can add your swift sightings to Swift Mapper and use #SwiftSighted and tag @RSPBScotland to get involved!
